SACRAMENTO – Police arrested a 47-year-old man Saturday morning after finding about 300 dead cats stuffed into freezers in his house.

Thirty other cats were found alive and were removed from the south Sacramento home by city animal control workers.

Seems Roman Catholic priest Reverend Adelir Antonio de Carli attached himself to a tall column of helium filled balloons and in a special floating chair headed off into the sky.

He was also wearing wearing a helmet, thermal suit and a parachute, in case things went wrong, which naturally, with such a fund raising stunt, they would, and did.

Secret Malaysian probe ‘captures alien life forms’

A secret Malaysian made probe has captured amazing images of a weird life form - perhaps the first indication of what alien life looks like.

The probe, code named the PSA 530, captured these images of this strange life form today.

A spokesman for the probe consortium, who wished to remain unnamed, said it was exciting that this probe, send to to the far flung reaches had managed to do what the two other exploration superpowers had been unable to achieve.

Baby sucks out woman’s brain

An Australian mother is claiming that her new baby is sucking out her brains through her breast milk.

The woman, Marge Shrivinton, 28, from Brisbane, Queensland says she intends giving up breast feeding because her baby boy is sucking out her brain, diminishing her capacity to think straight and remember things.

“I was OK before the baby was born,” she said. “But from the second day my brain has been going out my nipples and my mind has been all over the place.  But now I can hardly hold a decent conversation without getting distracted or talking on some random thought train.

Free press important according to BBC poll

Interestingly 70% of respondents from North America and Western Europe put freedom first - despite most news coming from Rupert Murdoch. Somehow seems like a plot for James Bond Movie or an episode of Dr Who.

But what is press freedom and what is propaganda? The news only reports on what they are told in most instances, buy governments and bug business.

UFOs, witches and God are real - survey shows

Most Americans believe in stuff of folklore, myths and legends, according to a new survey just released that shows almost three quarters believe in heaven and angels.

Around one-third of those polled also said they believed in UFOs, witches and astrology.

The survey, carried out by Harris Online, seems to confirm the popular international concept that Americans are confused about what to believe.

Timber ship sinks

The ABC News in Australia reports:

A cargo ship with 36 people on board, most of them Russians, has sunk in the Sea of Japan.

Officials say the crew and passengers escaped on life rafts.

The Russian emergencies ministry says the ship was carrying timber from the Russian far east to China when it went down.
