Exclusive - Russians moving in on Georgian capital - residents prepare to flee

I have been in communication with Tiblisi and residents are preparing to leave the Georgian capital as Russian troops break the ceasefire and move to within 40 KM of the capital.

In the past few minutes I have been in direct communication with a business associate living in Tbilisi and he says many people, including himself are packing their most treasured possessions and are preparing to leave the capital.

Live reports from an Australian journalist indicate that Russian armoured personnel carriers are on the highway leading into the capital.

Paypal to pay out A$1 million after ebay merchant defaults

Eoffice supplies has gone into receivership and Paypal is forking out A$1 million to cover the losses by customers using Pay Pal.

The business used Ebay shop extensively and was Australia’s biggest Ebay merchant.

Aust PM shoves Texas down President’s throat

I don’t know what led to this little jib from the Aussie PM - maybe it was that Bush was bragging about all things big come from Texas, so therefore as i come from Texas I must be a big man…. and my gun is bigger than yours….

The important thing is Rudd did not lay down for Bush, even though he was given the title of Man of Steel, a term passed on from the last Aussie PM. Rudd steely…hmmm, maybe. Just remember, most states in OZ are bigger than most states in the USA. Cop that Mr Bush. [Read more →]

Russian scientists breeding legless chickens

Following survey revelations about crippled chickens in UK battery hen farms, we have discovered that researchers in Russia are working to develop a new, legless chicken in a bid to overcome some of the issues related to battery poultry production.

Dr Aleksandr Polutivin, who leads up the project at the All-Russian Research Institute for Animal Health near Vladimir in Russia, says the problem is very real.
