Product to be renamed following Microsoft threats

A challenger to the popular Microsoft Office program is going to be renamed after threats of legal action from Microsoft.

The recently launched product (read about it here), which provides an alternative to all the inclusions of the Microsoft office suit and sells for hundreds of dollars cheaper has been targeted as trying to pass itself off as Office.

This has led to a rethink on the name and the packaging with the product now to be called FukOffice.

The move is hoped to be able to provide a much greater point of differentiation and tap into the emotive spirit of an increasing number of people disillusioned with the software giant.

There are concerns that some may get confused with the product name, so a failsafe has been devised.

This will take the form of a free DVD, featuring good looking young people bonking their brains out on various items of office equipment. The distributors deny they will be using their staff as actors.

In addition to the new name, packaging and the DVD, the developers have also been tweaking aspects of the program.

Now when saving a document a sexy female voice will moan “Yes! Yes! Yes!”.

Highlighting will have the same voice saying “Take me baby” while pasting will have her utter “oooh that’s good!

Menus will have a makeover, and instead of New Document users will choose “Nude Ocument”.

In Write, Headers and Footers will become “Give Head” and “Footish”, while a cover page shortcut will be known as a “Full Frontal”.

Maile Merge becomes “Male Coupling”

The menu item “Insert” will remain the same but will carry a new graphic icon.

The Draw module will become the Doodle and its icon will be a phallis.

Ideas on new packaging are welcome and can be made by placing a link to the image in comments.

  1. Wow, where get I can Fuckoffice??

  2. How can Microsoft justify it’s actions!
A better suite than Microsoft was Lotus 123. Did Microsoft copy their idea when they developed their windows applications?

I think the renaming should not have vulgar sounding titles. If this company is serious they should be above this inclination, otherwise they will not get accepted by a large enough following.

  3. Randy, I suspect it is a leg-pull story

  4. Randy… *sigh*

But admin… it doesn’t state that it is a “leg-pull” story, should Google sap all of it’s link juice? While this is a great story… and I really want FukOffice! :D it seems that Matt Cutts won’t have any of it.

  5. sadly I missed Cutts take on it - odd that a Google guy should have an opinion… got a link?

Of course you can follow the link in the story to read about the original product - the seller ships globally.
