Travel company closes Singapore airport

In a move that is unlikely to win too many customers, a light aircraft owned by a travel agency successfully closed down Changi airport when it breached Changi Airport airspace.

The single engined Cessna belongs to an Australian Mary Cummins, who co-owns a tourist adventure flight company with Rhys Thomas.

This is probably a good reason not to take a tour with them.

The Straits Times reported two missile laden fighter jets were scrambled and escorted the plane in after it entered Singaporean airspace from Thailand.

It is believed police and customs officials swept on the plane in an attempt to establish if there were any drugs on board while to to occupants were led away.

The 50 minute incident incident disrupted 23 flights and led to annoyed parents wanting to get their kids onto their flights where they could drug them so as to have a peaceful flight.

One parent was head complaining they had already administered their sleep tonic and that this would mean an awake and alert child on their hands before they landed.

Other passengers decided to ride the walking travellators between the two wings of the airport back and forth.

Others made full use of the free internet connections at the airport, where long queues were seen.

The two people aboard the plane are still being questioned by police.
